Climate

The islands that make up Bahrain have a combined area of about 765 square kilometres. Being an archipelago of thirty-six islands, the country does not share land borders with another country, but has a 161 kilometer coastline and a further 12 nautical miles of sea territory. The country has an arid climate, where the summers are extensively hot and humid, with the winters having a pleasing climate.

Being a desert country, a large part of the country is prone to drought and dust storms on a regular basis. The irregular rainfall and the shallow seas surrounding the islands provide ideal conditions for humid weather during the hot days.
