Wadi Shab: Located in Tiwi, part of Sur in Al Sharqiyah South Governorate, Wadi Shab is easily accessible from Muscat, 140km from on the Qurayat, Sur Coastal Road.
One of the most famous valleys in Oman, Wadi Shab;s water is sourced from the highest mountains of Bani Jaber. This beautiful valley is the perfect combination of coastal nature and mountain formations that attracts tourists. The rock formations are different than those around the world since water and various erosion factors have carved wonderful artistic scenes in it. An adventure filled location, you can enjoy various activities such as boating, hiking, and swimming in the freshwater pools.
Wadi Al Arbaeen: On the outskirts of Muscat, Wadi Al Arbaeen is home to two villages on either side of its banks, which offer a wide range of recreational activities such as swimming and, hiking. Wadi Al Arbaeen also features a constant water flow from the eastern Hajr Mountains. The location is blessed with sounds of nature that includes running water, birds chirping and wind whistling through narrow channels.
Grand Canyon/ Wadi Ghul: Located on the southern inclines of Jebel Shams, the tallest crest of The Hajr Mountains, activities such as the Balcony Walk, a hike, and camping under the stars, are quite famous amongst tourists.
Nizwa: the city of Nizwa is the central regional centre of A’Dakhiliyah Governorate. Approximately 140KM from Muscat, it lies at the foot of Al Jabal Al Akhdar. Famous for its history, culture, origins and heritage it remains one of the most popular tourist’s attractions in Oman. Some of its iconic places include the Nizwa fort, Jebel Akhdar, Nizwa Souq, Falaj Daris (a World Heritage Site), Tanuf and Bahla.
